For this Advert Evolution created some amazing oversize props Atmospheric and fires for Richard Bridgeland Production Designer.
This was rekindling of another great memory when we made a multitude of over size props for Feature Film ‘The Borrowers’
For Allied Evolution provided all the SFX for the Film with Richard Van Den Bergh leading the SFX team. We developed some amazing non pyrotechnic explosions, a 20m x 30m indoor Rain rig, a collapsing ceiling and bombed out buildings. ‘Working with Robert Zemeckis was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life’ said Richard Van Den Bergh ‘everything was very clear, he is a true Legend and I thank him for the opportunity’. For this Ad Evolution and its subsidiary ‘Snowmec’ provided various Special Effects including Snow, Rain, Air Mortars and stunt collapsable lockers.
This was one of the first times the new ‘Snowmec Snowflake’ has been used. A fantastic product for any christmas event. For this commercial Evolution VFX ltd. provided Snow and Wind Special Effects for this seasonal spectacle.
For this commercial Evolution provided Greenscreen Karts to simulate the movement to be replace by the CG Forklifts. Good fun commercial.
For this film Evolution produced some among Royal standards for the battles as well as stunt rubber versions. A privilege to be a part of something great.
Our London Special effects crew created the special effects snow for The Christmas Candle. We can provide many types of special effects snow, Snowmec have been making snow since their work on ‘The Shining’ with Jack Nicholson, we are the original and still the best!
We created these two 3D printed mechanical puppets for Lexus in our London model making workshop. The exoskeleton is 3D printed and is 2.5mm in width over the whole puppet. The tallest character was 11ft high and was designed to move with the subtlety of the human form. Their bodies and limbs are controlled by the rods of the visible puppeteers, the hands have an intricate cable system and the heads are animatronic, to create the small movements that give belief to the personification of an object.

This advert was a combination of 3D printing and large scale model making and cloud special effects. The London model making crew created an 8 x Circuit boards, 3 x times working sewing machine, a rig for two Dreamliner wheels to run down the runway. Also a 1:3 scale dreamliner wing for which we also created smoke special effects of clouds surrounding the model. The most interesting piece to create was the underwater sparking brian, it was a combination of model making and special effects. A great project to work on!
At our special effects London studio we produced, tested and filmed R&D for the liquid special effects. Working closely with the London Based production company we created the movements and colours needed to solidify the visuals of the concept. We used our special effects water tanks to produce varying solidities of the pearl liquids with in liquids.
For this London prop making project we created a large jet engine turbine along with a prop stopwatch melting to liquid. All together with the special effects a scene of fire, explosions, smoke and intense heat was created.
Large scale prop making and special effects for this Samsung advert. Our prop making crew created the central head with a jaw mechanism, the moving buffers and the kickers. With pyrotechnics and more from the special effects crew.
Prop making, sculpture and costume prop making for this Intel convertible advert. We created the ancient style Laptop, the Egyptian statues, the chariot and many of the hero costume props. Below is one of the Egyptian head dresses.
For this model making advert we created the models to represent the characters with a playful and effortless look. Not the usual model making but a fun piece to work on.
For this London location commercial we concentrated on the special effects and atmospherics along with prop making. We created the special effects with Evolution’s new low smoke system (for external use only). We also created props and dummy arrows to keep the crew safe from King Henry’s wrath.
This was a model making London based project for the ‘I’m Aquarius’ music video for Metronomy, it is based around the voyage of a stylised model spaceship which Evolution VFX created in 2 different scales for the video. The smaller ship built with 3D printing and then finished to look identical to the larger ship.
Evolution’s special effects crew created the pulley rig system to move the actor and chair seamlessly around the set. Special effects rigs are something our company do frequently, Check out our Special effects tag for more examples.
